Brad Boney lives in Austin, Texas, the seventh most homosexual city in the United States. He enjoys telling stories about the nice boys in his neighborhood, which is not far from the University of Texas. New to the gay romance genre, he plans to publish all of his books in Austin in the hopes of boosting the city's profile. He grew up in the Midwest and attended the University of New York for his education. Before settling in Austin, he lived in Washington and Houston.

According to him, his theater experience shaped his writing style, which he refers to as dialogues and actor positioning on stage. He considers Amour et Amnésie to be the greatest romantic comedy of all time, and Strapped is his gay favorite film of the last ten years. He's never met a boysband he didn't want to be in. And, yes, Emily's season of The Bachelorette has restored her faith in love.
