Oscar and Arabella by Neal Layton

They love going exploring but when they encounter a very nasty cave man they have to think just how to outwit him. A hilarious picture book from a dynamic fresh talent.
..a most original and inventive book, as well as being a good introduction to woolly mammoths and the concept of extinction. The illustrations are lively and simple and Oscar and Arabella are depicted in a cartoon style, while background detail ...adds some fun ... Altogether, this is an enjoyable story in simple language, and it should provide an enticing introduction to prehistory. -- Early Year Educator 20020701 Praise for Neal Layton's illustrations: ROVER, written by Michael Rosen: '... The illustrations are eye-catching and jump off the page ... Guaranteed to keep everyone smiling and captivated...' -- ***** Customer rating: amazon.co.uk 20020701 JOEY PIGZA LOSES CONTROL, written by Jack Gantos: '... a vivid and startling book...' -- SCHOOL LIBRARIAN 20020701
