Helmut Icicle had a quiet life. His home was on the freesoil planet of Kedge-Lockaby, and his work on its lazy shores, where he took divers on holocam trips around the reefs. But then comes the day when a giant sea-toad eats his house and swamps him in a galactic conspiracy.
Julian May has written numerous books, including the four books of The Saga of Pliocene Exile, the two books of Intervention, and The Galactic Milieu Trilogy. She has also collaborated with Andre Norton and Marion Zimmer Bradley on the successful fantasy novel Black Trillium. Ms. May lives in Bellevue, Washington.
