John Weiss was one of the country's most prolific deer hunting writers. An expert on whitetails, he had written hundreds of articles for national sportsman's magazines, and was the author of several books on deer hunting, including Advanced Deer Hunting, The Whitetail Hunter's Almanac, and The Ultimate Guide to Butchering Deer. Weiss passed away in 2016 and lived in Chesterhill, Ohio.

Peter J. Fiduccia is one of the most recognized authorities in the deer hunting community, known throughout North America as the Deer Doctor. He is an award-winning journalist and has hosted the Woods 'N' Water TV series for thirty-two years. Fiduccia was the founder and consulting editor for Whitetail Hunting Strategies magazine and his writings have been published in ten books and numerous magazines. He lives with his wife, Kate, in Otsego County, New York.
