Fran is very upset because her mother has remarried and she has to live with her stepfather and his son at her gran's old home. She has run writing workshops for children and adults and now teaches Creative Writing at an Adult Education Centre. She exhibits and sells her paintings locally and belongs to a photographic club. She lives with her husband and her pet dog, Toby.
