Robot Wrist Actuators by Mark E Rosheim

"Robot Wrist Actuators" is the first work on robot wrists, providing the engineer or researcher with a comprehensive review of wrist actuator technology. Complex wrist morphologies are displayed clearly through the lavish use of illustrations, including diagrams, isometric drawings, and photographs. The book contains background for robot wrist development, and use of the human wrist as a model for robot wrist actuators. Practical guidelines for wrist design are provided as well as design techniques and methods. All basic designs are laid out clearly, followed by more sophisticated designs and their current and future applications in robotics. The book looks at wrist designs still under development, including the author's new designs, and contains a detailed annotated bibliography of patents and articles. The work has been designed to aid mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and students of both fields.
About the Author MARK E. ROSHEIM is President of Ross-Hime Designs, Inc., a Minneapolis-based robotics firm. Mr. Rosheim holds 14 patents for robot designs, more than any other American. His previous works include Robot Wrist Actuators, also available from Wiley.
