The Science Behind Raging Wildfires by Louise A Spilsbury

Earth--it's a disaster zone!

For thousands of years, Earth has been set alight by raging wildfires that rip across its surface, torching everything in their paths. But what causes these awesome forces of nature and where in the world are they most likely to occur? Discover the science behind raging wildfires, the world's worst-ever wildfire disasters, and the technology that scientists are using to help prevent devastating wildfires of the future.

Louise Spilsbury is a prolific children's book author. She has written titles on almost every subject, from science and geography through to world affairs, social issues, art, history, and literacy. Louise is married to the author Richard Spilsbury and has two children. She lives and works in Devon, England.

Based in Lebanon, Hanane Kai first ventured off as a graphic designer (with a BA degree from NDU), then pursued her passion for illustration, photography, and miniature set design. She expresses herself through the visuals she creates, and hopes with every illustration to touch her audience, leaving them with a certain feeling or message.
