She is also the author of Where Do I Go From Here?: Bold Living After Change, From One Widow to Another: Conversations on the New You, Shattering Our Assumptions, Heart's Cry, Sisters of the Heart, Women and Their Emotions, Helping Teens in Crisis, Working Moms: Survival to Satisfaction, Devotions for Women in the Workplace, and Discover Your Worth. Miriam is the widow of Robert Neff, whom she married when she was 19 years old. She has four children and three grandchildren.
