This sequel to "London Match" continues the story of secret agent Bernard Samson at the point where his wife, Fiona, has apparently defected to the KGB. Samson, himself under suspicion as a double agent, must follow a trail designed to uncover vast sums of money in London, Washington and Berlin. Len Deighton began his successful career as a writer of spy thrillers with "The Ipcress File". He has also written "XPD", "Goodbye Mickey Mouse", "Berlin Game", "Mexico Set" and "Winter".

Len Deighton is the author of more than thirty books of fiction and nonfiction, including the classic novels The Ipcress File and Funeral in Berlin, as well as his internationally acclaimed histories of World War II. Born in London, he served in the RAF before graduating from the Royal College of Art, which later elected him a Senior Fellow. While he has lived in many different places, at present he is living in Europe.
