The application of statistical methods to physics is essen- tial. Josef Honerkamp hat mehr als 30 Jahre als Professor fü¾˜¶˜¼r Theoretische Physik gelehrt, zunü¾†”¼chst an der Universitü¾†”¼t Bonn, dann an der Universitü¾†”¼t Freiburg. Er ist Autor mehrerer Lehrbü¾˜¶˜¼cher. Im Jahre 2012 erschien sein Sachbuch: Die Entdeckung des Unvorstellbaren - Einblicke in die Physik und ihre Methode. Im Rahmen seiner Forschungstü¾†”¼tigkeit hat Honerkamp auf folgenden Gebieten gearbeitet: Quantenfeldtheorie, Statistische Mechanik, Nichtlineare Systeme und Stochastische Dynamische Systeme.
