Kody Keplinger is a Kentucky native who grew up in a rural town. Her debut novel, The DUFF, was a YALSA Top Ten Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers and a Romantic Times Top Pick during her final year of high school. Since then, it has been made into a blockbuster film picture. Kody is also the author of the middle-grade novel The Swift Boys & Me, as well as the novels Shut Out and A Midsummer's Nightmare.
