This unique volume explores the old cobblestone streets, the historic downtown district, and the many factories producing iron, stoves, paper boats, bells, and of course, detachable shirt collars.
Don Rittner is the author of Troy and Lansingburgh, both published by Arcadia. He has painstakingly researched and compiled 235 photos for Albany, the majority of which are from the Pruyn Library of Albany History, with a few from buddy Morris Gerber's Old Albany collection thrown in for good measure. Rittner has been honored for his contributions to the preservation of local heritage.
