He also serves as Chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy and is Director of the Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research. Dr. Gary Westfall is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Michigan State University. He is conducting his research in experimental nuclear physics at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL), where he has a joint appointment. He also does research at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory as a member the STAR Collaboration.
