From dirt-poor beginnings, Carole Sanders achieved quite a legacy, as 40-year successful career as a stewardess (she didn't like being called Flight Attendant) in the golden age of flying 1960's to 2001, to being a pioneer in animal rescue in Texas, establishing the first domestic lifetime animal sanctuary to be accredited nationally, and heroically saving thousands of animals from certain death, pain or suffering.

Rescue is a world full of some great happy endings, and a few heartbreaks along the way, but Carole never would give up, even when she was spending all of her pension and social security money on vet bills while she lived in a kennel with about a dozen little dogs. Her sacrifices were many, some great triumphs and a few heartbreaks, but she never complained.she did it all for love of the animals.
