Dr Raman Prinja is a Reader in astronomy and astrophysics at University College London (UCL) and conducts research on massive stars in our galaxy. He has been awarded the Pol and Christiane Swings research prize by the Royal Academy of Belgium. He is the author of Understanding the Universe and has written a series of popular astronomy books on the Universe aimed at 7 to 11 year olds.
