Katie Hafner is a regular contributor to The New York Times, where she covers health care and technology issues. She's also written for The New York Times Magazine, Esquire, Wired, The New Republic, The Huffington Post, and O: The Oprah Magazine, and has worked at Newsweek and BusinessWeek. She has written five prior books on subjects as diverse as the origins of the Internet, computer hackers, German reunification, and musician Glenn Gould. She currently resides in San Francisco.
