Wiccan Mysteries by Raven Grimassi
Wiccan Mysteries: Ancient Origins & Teachings, originally published back in 1997, proved to be an influential work that shaped the magical practices of many, and Crossed Crow Books is pleased to make this title available to readers once again. Whether you are new to the craft or have been practicing for years, Raven Grimassi's Wiccan Mysteries offers several thought-provoking ideas and concepts that the magical practitioner can use to deepen their craft.Contained herein are some of the more foundational mysteries that a seeker may encounter. Concepts such as reincarnation, the various magical planes of existence, symbols, rites, and works of magic are all explored from a pre-Christian vantage point, allowing the reader to see how the myriad of origins have inspired the manifestation of Wicca as a dynamic system of magical practice--a fascinating read regardless of your magical path.
Raven Grimassi was a Neo-Pagan scholar and the author of more than eighteen books on Witchcraft, Wicca, and Neo-Paganism, including the award-winning Witchcraft, Wicca, and Neo-Paganism. He was a co-founder and co-director of the Ash, Birch, and Willow tradition, and committed himself to the study and practice of witchcraft for almost forty years. Grimassi's witchcraft schooling encompassed Brittic Wicca, the Pictish-Gaelic tradition, Italian Witchcraft, and Celtic Traditionalist Witchcraft, among other things. Raven was a Rosicrucian Order member who studied the Kabbalah at the First Temple of Tifareth under Lady Sara Cunningham. Raven and his wife, co-author Stephanie Taylor-Grimassi, lived in New England. They co-directed The Fellowship of the Pentacle, a contemporary Mystery School dedicated to the preservation of pre-Christian European spirituality.
