You Be Grandpa by Karla Clark

Grandpa’s too tired to be Grandpa tonight. Can you be Grandpa, just for the night? Pick out my pjs and snuggle up close? Read me the book I love the most? In this clever, rhyming picture book, a grandpa tells his grandson that after a long day of playing pirates, gardening, skateboarding, and more, he’s simply too tired to be Grandpa at bedtime and asks that his grandson take over for him. An utterly relatable theme told with humour and heart provides a story parents, grandparents, and children will delight in reading together at bedtime.
Karla Clark writes fiction for adults and children. Her favorite sound in the world is a child's giggle. Clark is a member of the Society of Book Writers and Illustrators and lives in Rockford, Illinois, with her husband and son. When she is not writing, she's creating paper collages and digital art that she sells at art shows. Debby Rahmalia is an illustrator and artist based in Indonesia with a passion for storytelling. She graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology. Taking inspiration from the arts, great thought-leaders, and childhood wonder, Rahmalia hopes to entertain young readers and adults with her illustrations. When she's not drawing, she spends her time reading the book she illustrated to her daughter or singing and dancing with her.
