The purpose of this new book is to explain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and show how they can be used in manufacturing situations. It does not assume the reader has any previous background in microelectronics and so is suitable for manufacturing and mechanical engineers. It includes sections on PLC's and Interfacing which will prove to be of immense benefit to students, as well as illustrated examples and tutorial questions in each chapter.
