About Alison Dye

Alison Dye was born and brought up in New England. She was a social worker in New York before deciding to change her life radically and moving with her small daughter to Ireland in 1987. Her first novel was based on the short story with which she won the Stand Story of the Year competition. She continues to write, as well as teach Social Sciences at Trinity College, Dublin.
