Six Proud Walkers

The Walker family, manufacturers of famous Broadshire Porcelain, seemed close and loving, respected in their home village. But from the day that DCI Webb saw the word 'Murder' spelt out in flowers in their garden, one tragedy followed another, and within a week, two members of the family had died violently. As Webb and Sergeant Jackson work against time to prevent further killings, a different picture emerges from the public image. Tension, fears and jealousies have long been festering under the surface, and the first death proves the catalyst. There are also those outside the tightly-knit circle who resent the Walkers. Could one of them hate enough to strike and to strike again? Against the background of a peaceful village during a summer heatwave, long-buried truths are unearthed, but can Webb prevent a final tragedy?
