Books by Anthony Tobias

Anthony Tobias has lived a long life and enjoyed a varied career. Born in 1918 he was conscripted into the army at 21 and served for six years, throughout the Second World War. He originally trained as a glider pilot, after which he became a physical training instructor, before being seconded to the Army Education Corps where he ran a University in South Italy. After being demobbed he pursued an industrial career, initially as Production Manager and finally as Plant Director. Following retirement he worked as a court reporter and then ran a Solicitor's Practice. The real life assassination of the Chechen Ambassador in 1993, and Anthony's subsequent involvement in the case, provided the inspiration for Finders Keepers Killers A prolific writer for over half a century, Anthony has written several more books, including his next publication, Dust to Dust, an expose of the politics and practices within the asbestos industry. His output also includes many plays and short stories, two of which were broadcast on BBC Radio. Married for almost 60 years before his wife passed away, Anthony has a son and daughter, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He remains a keen cyclist, snooker player and cook.
