Professor David Deakins is an Honorary Researcher at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Lancaster University Management School, Lancaster University and Adjunct Professor, School of Management, Massey University. He has over 30 years' experience of research with SMEs and entrepreneurs. He returned to the UK in 2014 after retiring from Massey University in New Zealand. Whilst at Massey, he led a number of research projects undertaken for the New Zealand Government on SMEs including regulation, internationalization and innovation. He also completed consultancy and research projects for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) body and for the OECD.
