Helen Skelton has worked in television and radio for over ten years. As a former Blue Peter presenter she's dined with the Queen, travelled the world and set a few world records. Helen kayaked the length of the Amazon river in 2010 for Sport Relief, and walked a tightrope between the towers of Battersea Power Station in 2011 for Comic Relief. She was the second woman ever to complete the Namibian Ultra-Marathon, and was the first person to reach the South Pole by bicycle. Helen is now part of the team at BBC Sport, BT Sport, Countryfile and has covered events for the BBC including the Olympics, The Commonwealth Games, Boat Race and The Cheltenham races to name a few. Helen Skelton lives in Cheshire with her husband and dog Barney.
