He is the author of Virgil's Epic Designs and Horace's "Carmen Saeculare," published by Yale University Press. Jan M. Ziolkowski, author of more than a dozen books on medieval literature, is Arthur Kingsley Porter Professor of Medieval Latin at Harvard University.
