Books by Nelson George

Nelson George was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from St. John's University in 1979 he became a journalist, first on the AMSTERDAM NEWS and then on BILLBOARD, where he was the Black Music editor until 1989 and then VILLAGE VOICE. He is the author of a number of non-fiction books on black culture and music and co-writer of the 1991 film STRICTLY BUSINESS. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
