Books by Ro Willoughby
I joined the SU staff in 1994 as a Schools Worker in Cambridgeshire before moving to a role which saw me overseeing SU's programmes of holidays and missions, events which I still remain passionate about today. I am Chair of the Board of CCI (the umbrella association for Christian camps, activity and conference centres). In February 2013 I became Team Leader for the East region. I came to faith as a teenager on an SU Scotland holiday in the late 1970s and met my wife, Debbie, on an SU camp in Australia though, as my Best Man pointed out, that was a heck of a long way to go to meet a girl from Watford! Debbie and I have two teenage children, Jamie and Ellen who are both quite musical - I'm not, and sporty - which I am, as a big Leeds United fan and I also like to play football as well as squash, tennis, run, swim, cycle. I am involved in Olney Baptist Church. Olney is a lovely market town which is host to the oldest pancake race in the country and to the tomb of John Newton, slave trade abolitionist and the writer of Amazing Grace and I lead an event called Lifepath based on his story.
