Steve Roberts was born in Dulwich in 1950. In 1972 he was awarded his First Dan Black Belt and certificate, and became a Whu Shu Kwan Instructor until 1981. Steve also ran his own business, Robson Electro Mechanical Engineering until his road traffic accident in 1981 when he was rendered paraplegic. In September 2000, Steve was diagnosed with kidney cancer and in May 2003 he found out that he also had a brain tumour. However, despite all of the knocks life has dealt him, this remarkable man remains positive, upbeat and happy with the good things in his life. Steve now lives in Norfolk.
