Steve Walker, playwright, poet, artist, novelist, teller-of-tales and historian of the future, was born in Gateshead in 1956. He travelled extensively in the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s.H e is an amazingly successful radio playwright, the only one to have won two consecutive Giles Cooper Awards for Year's Best Radioplay.
