JOHN SWEETMAN's many publications include _The Schweinfurt Raids_ and _Oil Strike - Ploesti_ describing American raids, _Cavalry of the Clouds_, _The Dambusters Raid_ and _Tirpitz - Hunting the Beast_ about British air operations during the two world wars over Europe. Educated at Portsmouth Grammar School, Brasenose College Oxford and King's College London, he lives in Camberley, Surrey.
