William Balsamo, who has survived almost twenty-five years on the New York waterfront as a member of the International Longshoremen's Association, is the grandnephew of Battista Balsamo, the Mafia's first "boss of bosses" in America. He has been certified as a bonafide New York Mob historian by the New York Daily News, which has published several of his underworld stories.
George Carpozi, Jr., who co-authored Always Kill a Brother with William Balsamo, is the author of over seventy books, including John Lennon: Death of a Dream, and recipient of thirty journalistic awards, including the New York Press Club Golden Typewriter Award.
