Yvonne Burgess is an accomplished author with a number of titles to her name, including A Larger Silence, which won the 2001 Sanlam Literary Award for Fiction, The Strike, Say A Little Mantra For Me, Anna and the Colonel, and the critically acclaimed A Life to Live. Measure of the Night Wind was published in 2002, and, in 2005, Penguin released a collection of some of her previously published and unpublished short stories entitled Two Kinds of Women.
