David Moodie was born and raised in Jamaica, where he first started working with puppets. After drama school in the UK, he joined the Midlands Art Puppet Theatre, and them went on to found his own touring puppet theatre, writing and performing for schools and children's parties. It was after playing for a private party at Hollycombe House in Hampshire that David devised the story of Jemima's Mice. He lives in Worthing, West Sussex.
