DOUNIA BISSAR is Senior Lecturer in French at London Metropolitan University, UK. As French Coordinator on the Open Language Programme, she has developed the generic course syllabi and assessment instruments, as well as designing teaching/learning materials (including self-study) for French. Her research interests are in discourse analysis and its application to language teaching, particularly the grammar of French. She has also written papers on language testing.
