Critical Reflection In Practice Summary

Critical Reflection In Practice: Generating Knowledge for Care by Gary Rolfe

The terms 'critical reflection' and 'reflective practice' are at the heart of modern healthcare. But what do they really mean?

Building on its ground-breaking predecessor, entitled Critical Reflection for Nursing and the Helping Professions, this heavily revised second edition analyses and explores reflection. It presents a structured method that will enable you to both challenge and develop your own practice.

This book is the essential guide to critical reflection for all students, academics and practitioners.

Critical Reflection In Practice Reviews

Once again an excellent text for both BSc and MSc levels - Pat Williams, Lecturer, School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies, Cardiff University, UK We will definitely add this book to the reading list... - Susan Thomas, Faculty of Health & Applied Social Sciences, Liverpool John Moores University, UK This is an excellent text that considers critical reflection in a meaningful manner - Joanne Atkinson, School of Health, Community & Education Studies, Northumbria University, UK I like the clear definition of critical reflection and the importance of analysis within this. The chapters give a range of techniques which cater for different learning styles and approaches. The strategies for reflective writing (chapter 5) I found particularly useful both for myself and for sharing with students - Janet Wilson, Senior Nursing Lecturer, Faculty of Health and Wellbeing, Sheffield Hallam University, UK
