The Jihad, the Muslim Holy War, has been fought for 1350 years in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. This work provides a general history of the conflict, spanning more than a millennium of military history, and ranging over several continents. It contains detailed descriptions of warfare, raids and massacres between Muslims and Christians, from the earliest years of the Jihad in the seventh century up to the present day acts of terrorism. It describes invasions of Spain, France and Italy by the Arabs and Moors, and documents the rise and fall of the Ottoman Turks, who ruled over large portions of Europe for several hundred years. It also offers portraits of the captains of European history who have fought against the Jihad, including Charlemagne and Bonaparte.
