HOW TO BE BETTER AT CREATIVITY by Geoffrey Petty
The ability to think creatively is an asset in any profession and this book demonstrates how, by working through its techniques and questionnaires, anyone can improve their creative thinking skills. A six-step model of the creative process is provided: inspiration - the spontaneous generation of ideas; clarification - rational focus on what the ideas are meant to achieve; distillation - deciding which ideas are worth pursuing; perserverance - determinedly pushing the best ideas through to completion; incubation - storing ideas to be picked up later; and editing - the self-critical phase of amendment, deletion and adaptation.
