Murder in a Scottish seaside setting. Lady P is a scientist, inventor, and engineer - but above all a fun-loving and youthful grandmother. But she doesn't see the funny side when the dead body of a youngish woman turns up onboard a sailing boat belonging to her daughter. And when the body is finally identified, a number of prominent people in the local community, even in the University or local Council could be suspected of being involved. Even Inspector Plummer cannot prevent Lady P's natural inquisitiveness landing her in deep water - and in hospital.
