I received a copy of My Very Own Bible and I was delighted by the bright drawings and the child-appropriate language used to describe the stories of Jesus. I have found that many children's Bibles tell the stories of Jesus using terms that are too complicated for young minds. It will be a joy to read My Very Own Bible to my grandchildren and I intend on purchasing copies to give to the babies being dedicated in our church. Thank you for such a thoughtful presentation of Jesus.

My Very Own Bible is a great resource to use with children in our pre-school classes. The children each could have their 'very own Bible' and look at the picture of the story that we are learning for the day. The illustrations are geared to the younger children and would allow them to look at the pictures and point out things on their own that would add to their learning of the story. I like that the stories are short and would hold the attention of even the youngest listeners. I also think the children would love to have a Bible of their own that was actually used during their Sunday School class.

I have shown My Very Own Bible to a number of our little ones at the church and they have all enjoyed the stories as well as the pictures. One of the parents commented that she enjoyed the simplicity of the words, and particularly, the pictures. She said that so many times the pictures can be a distraction for young children rather than a good illustration. I will recommend the book to other children's pastors as well as to our congregation.
