Taken into care at two years old along with three of her siblings Iris lived in an immaculate, safe, caring family home for over seven years. Iris and her siblings were then returned to live with the birth parents they didn't know, into squalor, neglect and abuse. Escaping from this as soon as she could Iris built a life alongside her childhood sweetheart only to suffer a life-threatening illness and then heartbreak due to the betrayal by the person that she had trusted implicitly. Her experiences enabled her to have the strength and determination to rebuild her life once more.
