This book arose from in-depth interviews with eight dyslexic boys, aged 16 and 17, attending a special boarding school for dyslexics, who had experienced education in non-specialist schools across England. The incidents and emotions these boys recount provide an insight into the results of classroom methods, the attitudes of both teachers and other pupils, and the lack of provision of specialist help.
