The Clinical Orthopedic Assessment Guide Summary

The Clinical Orthopedic Assessment Guide by Janice K. Loudon

This is a second edition of a work designed to provide orthopedic clinicians with a handy reference guide which will help patient assessments. There are 6 parts containing 21 sections. The content is divided into an introduction, a regional presentation of clinical assessments including functional tests and dealing with gait and posture. New to this edition are sections on the upper cervical spine, pelvis/sacroiliac joint and adverse neurodynamics (assessment of peripheral nerve injury and treatment techniques). The book is packaged in a smaller size with an improved colour scheme and design. Many illustrations are converted to photos and an improved internal layout helps the reader identify information more easily. The content within the assessment sections has been improved with the addition of subjective and objective sequences and the sensitivity and specificity of test items are clearly identified. With the enhanced visual features and new content, this book now becomes an essential reference for the orthopedic clinician.
