Topics covered include: Columba and Iona; the importance of Scripture in Scottish medieval monastic art; the Reformation; the survival of the Roman Catholic church, as well as the roles played by the Episcopal and Baptist churches; the impact of the Highland Clearances; revival and mission in 19th century Scotland; and the search for Scottish Christian identity today.
