Kes Gray wrote The Mice in the Churchyard to support his local church, and every cat in his village is featured within the pages of this classic story. Kes has pledged to donate his book royalties to the church to guarantee its upkeep and secure it's place within the village for years to come. Kes is the author of the award-winning Eat Your Peas (Red Fox). He also wrote four titles in the acclaimed Daisy young fiction series (Red Fox) - all of which are illustrated by Nick Sharratt.
