Citroen DS Reviews

Much has been written about the DS, and a fair amount by Malcolm Bobbitt. For the newcomer to the model, or an enthusiastic youngster, though, this paperback from Veloce is a model of efficient and entertaining knowledge without being so dense as to dissuade the less committed readers. Plenty of colour and black and white illustrations tell the story of one of the greatest 20th century design, which a nicely balanced section on buying. A must-have for owners and enthusiasts alike.- Classic Car Weekly; Author Malcom Bobbitt has done a sterling job with this revised and updated edition, but what always impresses is the author's writing style: crisp, to the point, and not ashamed to look not only author the DS came about, but French culture, politics and the nation's past, all of which seemed to come together int he DS. Bobbitt documents the DS' history beautifully and unlike many motoring titles, it's hard to put down. Especially interesting is the comparison of the DS with its rivals along with a good look at its competition history.- on.magazine.co.uk.
