Layers of Un Summary

Layers of Un by Mark Goodwin

One of five chapbooks published by Shearsman in the summer of 2012, Layers of Un marks another stage in the development of Mark Goodwin's radical landscape poetry.

About Mark Goodwin

Mark Goodwin was born in 1969, spent his childhood on a farm in Leicestershire, and now lives on a narrow-boat on the river Soar, just north of Leicester. He works as a community poet with a wide range of people, including pupils and teachers in schools and colleges, other writers and artists, museum services, and with people who use mental-health services. Mark has been learning to write poetry since he was 16, and during that time has developed a love of playing with language. All of his Shearsman publications reflect his deep interest in what has been termed 'landscape' - whether that be on a run-down housing estate on the rim of Leicester, in an ancient stone circle on the edge of the Hebrides, or in amongst the intricacies of Cornish coastland.
