Based on ten years of research into the many similarities between faiths widely separated by time and distance, this is a comparative study of pagan religions since the dawn of time, and their relationship to Christianity. From the primitive mother-goddess of the Ice Age hunters and a myriad of other deities, the author traces the threads by which they are inextricably linked to modern Christianity. Using ancient examples, he argues that Christianity is in fact nothing new, but simply a reworking of older pagan faiths.
