Focusing on an inner city area of Birmingham, this book looks at life in a less-advantaged community. The positive aspects of multi-cultural life and the community spirit are also emphasized. Neil Thomson wrote several of the When I Was Young books. This book supports the geography area of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 2. It provides resource material for anyone interested in researching their local community and is illustrated with specially-taken photographs of the community. A Things to Do section is included at the back of the book.
