The Complete History of the SAS Summary

The Complete History of the SAS: The Full Story of the World's Most Famous Elite Fighting Force by Nigel McCrery

There have been many books written on the SAS, most telling of individual events in the Regiment's history. This book tells the full story, from formation in the sand dunes of Africa in World War II to present action in the Middle East. You'll get an inside look at modern selection and training and the combat engagements that have made the SAS one of the most feared and respected special forces units.

About Nigel McCrery

Nigel McCrery was a policeman but left to study History and went on to work for the BBC's drama department. Credits he lists are the award-winning All The King's Men and Silent Witness, both of which he wrote successful tie-in books to. Consultant Editor Barry Davies served with the SAS for 18 years, during which time he saw action in the hottest spots across globe. Since leaving the forces, Davies has written many books, consulted for television and worked for, amongst others, anti-terrorist equipment developers. He lives in Spain and regularly appears in the media as a military expert.
