About Philip Ridley


Philip Ridley was born in the East End where he still lives and works. As well as three books and four stage plays for adults, he wrote the highly acclaimed screenplay for The Krays feature film and directed two films of his own screenplays. Including ZIP'S APOLLO, Philip has written twelve children's books including KRINDLEKRAX (winner of the Smarties Prize and the W.H. Smith Book Award), KASPER IN THE GLITTER (nominated for the Whitbread Children's Book Award) and SCRIBBLEBOY (shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal).
